New Contruction ADU over new construction garage.  Owner was looking to match existing home while maximizing usable space. Upstairs is a 2 bedroom /  2 bathroom configuration with full kitchen, living, and dining with vaulted ceilings.  Downstairs consists of a four car garage, laundry room, and powder room.

Given the new laws, this ADU was allowed by the city of Los Angeles in an RD zone with an existing duplex.  Given the way square footage is calculated in Los Angeles, this ADU is larger than any ADU that can be built in R1 zoning.  It is the largest ADU that can be built in the city of Los Angeles.
